Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 6 am–2 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach The Workshop at (910) 679-8605; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, theworkshopwb.com.

Their menu does not state it, but the avocado toast comes covered in slivered almonds. It was very unfortunate that I paid $12 for a meal I could not eat. The latte was also very mid, nothing to complain or rave about. Overall, it was a cute place but incredibly overpriced and not mentioning the presence of such a common allergen seems like a huge oversight.

Service and atmosphere were good. Although both my friend and I didn’t enjoy our lattes. Didn’t have a coffee taste we were looking for. We both ended up throwing our drinks out and going to SUNdays

What a great place :) the atmosphere was awesome and the baristas were lovely! I got an iced latte with vanilla and lavender and it’s honestly the best one I think I’ve had, although it’s just the slightest bit pricey. My sister got a matcha and said it was great! We didn’t order the food but it seemed to be a huge hit! I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the Wrightsville beach area!

Quick few days at Wrightsville Beach. Up to watch the sunrise and then ran over to The Workshop for a coffee and croissant sandwich. The perfect morning. Cute place, great menu, good coffee and quick service.

We were taking a walk near the beach and craving something refreshing so we decided to stop by The Workshop. The interior is cute and cozy. There's outdoor seating available, which is a great option for beach weather. My smoothie and sandwich came out quickly and everything tasted great. The Workshop was the perfect little pitstop. Great drinks and food, fast service, and a charming atmosphere.
